Using Foreman / Katello and Docker containers to build foreman packages

Building RPMs isnt the most difficult task in a software developers life. Building packages in a reproducible manner however, with dependencies and for different Linux distributions can be challenging. Even more so, for satisfying the more complex and numerous dependencies for a big project like Foreman/Katello.In this talk, we want to introduce the concepts of our ecosystem for building said RPM packages, utilizing Docker and Katellos versioned content views.

Bernhard Suttner is leading the software development team of ATIX AG - a company near Munich, Germany. He is working on the Foreman / Katello based product orcharhino. In this role he is actively involved in many open source projects.
